Recomp AI – Delete Your Account & Personal Data

You're in control of your data. Learn how to delete individual items or your entire account.

Quick summary: This page explains how to:

  • delete individual logs or photos, or
  • permanently delete your entire account (all data, everywhere).

Delete data inside the app (partial deletion)

In the app, open Settings → Data & Privacy.

Tap any entry (weight log, calorie entry, progress photo) and choose Delete.

The item is removed instantly from your account and our servers.

Delete your entire account (+ all data)

⚠️ Permanent Action: This will permanently delete your account and all associated data.

Open Settings → Account Management → Delete Account in the Recomp AI app and follow the prompts. You'll be asked to confirm that you really want to continue, and once you do, the deletion runs automatically.

What happens next:

  • You'll receive an in-app confirmation that your account deletion has started automatically
  • All account, profile, health logs, progress photos, diagnostic IDs, and backups are permanently erased within 30 days (it usually finishes right away, but this window lets us handle rare delays)
  • You'll receive a final confirmation email when the purge is complete

What gets deleted / what is retained

Deleted within 30 days

  • Email / social-login ID
  • Profile (DOB/age band, sex, height/weight, body-fat, measurements, timezone)
  • All nutrition & workout logs
  • Progress photos

Retained (reason & duration)

  • App-store purchase receipts (tax/accounting) – up to 7 yrs, not linked back to logs
  • Encrypted off-site backups – overwritten ≤ 30 days
  • Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics (e.g., "feature usage counts")
